Every stage of my professional journey has built upon the last, creating a communications leader with a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective. It began in the demanding world of journalism, where investigative reporting, editorial leadership, national publishing, and strategic storytelling required precision, credibility, and the ability to communicate complex stories under relentless deadlines. Experiences ranging from newsroom reporting to publishing leadership through Black Book Partners cultivated an instinct for strategy, accuracy, and decisive leadership in high-pressure environments.
 

That foundation naturally evolved into a broader communications career focused on impact at scale. Leading health equity initiatives, public affairs campaigns, community engagement strategies, and executive communications shifted the focus from reporting on change to helping drive it. Through strategic communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement, complex policy initiatives were translated into messages that built trust, elevated public awareness, and strengthened relationships between institutions and the communities they serve.
 

This progression ultimately led to the pursuit of legal education, where years of experience in communications, media, public affairs, and organizational leadership converge. A legal foundation enhances the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks, interpret policy, manage risk, and advise leaders at the highest strategic levels. Rather than representing a career change, the study of law is the next evolution of a lifelong commitment to informing the public, shaping meaningful dialogue, and leading with integrity, strategy, and purpose.
